Why Everyone is Laughing at NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio Today

August 12, 2019   |   by James G. Dalton

Everyone knows that Democrat New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio is a clown and a buffoon. He can’t even run his own city yet for some reason he thinks he’s qualified to run the whole country.

Luckily voters are not as dumb as most Democrats think they are so Mayor Bill Be Blasio was just made the laughingstock of the 2020 primary campaign season.

He held a campaign event in Iowa and guess what? Just fifteen people bothered to show up!

Now THAT is funny and shows that the folks in Iowa have a lot more sense than anyone who donated to Mayor De Blasio’s campaign.

Here’s the story on De Blasio’s campaign event folly via the New York Post:

Mayor Bill de Blasio pitched his presidential dreams to a crowd of about 15 likely Democratic voters at an event Sunday morning in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

With more than enough empty space to accommodate his 6-foot-5 frame, the quixotic candidate took the floor at Parlor City Pub to a smattering of applause from the sleepy brunch set.

“Everything should be about our families, our lives, what everyday people are going through, what working people are going through,” de Blasio told the crowd, which numbered around 15 — not counting the press corps, campaign staff and Iowa State Sen. Rob Hogg, the event organizer.

“If we as Democrats are talking about that, we’re winning,” said de Blasio, before reiterating his campaign slogan, “Working people first.

“Here’s the bottom line: We have a country that’s favored the 1 percent now for literally 40 years,” said de Blasio. “The rich have gotten richer. Everybody else has been pretty much treading water.”

As you might expect the Mayor’s message met with a mixed reception, among the very few that were in attendance.

It looks to me like Mayor Bill De Blasio should pack his suitcase, return home to New York City, and focus his attention on making his own city a better place to live.
