Movie star Jon Voight Friday asked his followers to pray for President Donald Trump and to ask God to “bless and protect the truth” for him during his impeachment, while also slamming the proceedings as a “disgrace to mankind.”
“We call upon our highest prayers and ask Jesus, Moses, and all saints to save the truth that has been taken down by these cruel individuals of the left and ask God to place his hands upon this nation of the United States of America and bless and protect the truth for our President Donald Trump, so he can continue his legacy as one of our greatest presidents,” Voight said in a video posted to Twitter, reports USA Today.
The “Ray Donovan” star also said the impeachment trial is “a disgrace to mankind and a disgrace to the people of the United States of America.”
Democrats pursuing the charges against Trump are spreading “disgusting lies against our President Trump, who held to his promise for our country (and) his word for our country’s love,’ he added.
Voight in August called Trump the “greatest president of this century.” The president in March appointed Voight to the board of trustees for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and in November, Trump presented Voight with the National Medal of Arts.
