“Our Children Should Be Educated, Not Indoctrinated” – Trump Threatens Tax-Exempt Status Of Leftist-Biased Colleges

July 11, 2020   |   by James G. Dalton

In a series of tweets this morning, President Trump escalated his attacks on US universities by threatening the tax-exempt status of colleges that are too focused on “Radical Left Indoctrination”…

look forward to the avalanche of “this is hate” tweet-ban demands, and the stampeded of college deans who will decry Trump’s clear “white supremacist” perspective (when they themselves are kowtowing to a ‘black supremacy’ demanding mob).

Trump is right in the increasing level of liberal bias and indoctrination in American Colleges.

As Walter Williams wrote earlier in the year, a recent Pew Research Center survey finds that only half of American adults think colleges and universities are having a positive effect on our nation. The leftward political bias, held by faculty members affiliated with the Democratic Party, at most institutions of higher education explains a lot of that disappointment. Professors Mitchell Langbert and Sean Stevens document this bias in “Partisan Registration and Contributions of Faculty in Flagship Colleges.”

Langbert and Stevens conducted a new study of the political affiliation of 12,372 professors in the two leading private and two leading public colleges in 31 states.

  • For party registration, they found a Democratic to Republican (D:R) ratio of 8.5:1, which varied by rank of institution and region.
  • For donations to political candidates (using the Federal Election Commission database), they found a D:R ratio of 95:1, with only 22 Republican donors, compared with 2,081 Democratic donors.

Several consistent findings have emerged from Langbert and Stevens’ study. The ratio of faculty who identify as or are registered as Democratic versus Republican almost always favors the Democratic Party. Democratic professors outnumber their Republican counterparts most in the humanities and social sciences, compared with the natural sciences and engineering.

The ratio is 42:1 in anthropology, 27:1 in sociology and 27:1 in English. In the social sciences, Democratic registered faculty outnumber their Republican counterparts the least in economics 3:1. The partisan political slant is most extreme at the most highly rated institutions.

The leftist bias at our colleges and universities has many harmful effects. Let’s look at a few.

  • At University of California, Davis, last month, a mathematics professor faced considerable backlash over her opposition to the requirement for faculty “diversity statements.”
  • University of California, San Diego, requires job applicants to admit to the “barriers” preventing women and minorities from full participation in campus life.
  • At American University, a history professor recently wrote a book in which he advocates repealing the Second Amendment.
  • A Rutgers University professor said, “Watching the Iowa Caucus is a sickening display of the over-representation of whiteness.”
  • University of California, Berkeley, professor and former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich chimed in to say: “Think about this: Iowa is 90.7% white. Iowa is now the only state with a lifetime voting ban for people with a felony conviction. Black people make up 4% of Iowa’s population but 26% of the prison population. How is this representative of our electorate?”
  • A Williams College professor said he would advocate for social justice to be included in math textbooks.
  • Students at Wayne State University no longer have to take a single math course to graduate; however, they may soon be required to take a diversity course.

Then there’s a question about loyalty to our nation.

Charles Lieber, former chairman of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard, was arrested earlier this year on accusations that he made a materially false, fictitious and fraudulent statement about work he did for a program run by the Chinese government that seeks to lure American talent to China.

He was paid $50,000 a month and up to $158,000 in living expenses for his work, which involved cultivating young teachers and students, according to court documents. According to the Department of Justice, Lieber helped China “cultivate high-level scientific talent in furtherance of China’s scientific development, economic prosperity and national security.”

It’s not just Harvard professors.

  • Newly found court records reveal that Emory University neuroscientist Li Xiao-Jiang was fired in late 2019 after being charged with lying about his own ties to China. Li was part of the same Chinese program as Lieber.
  • A jury found a University of California, Los Angeles, professor guilty of exporting stolen U.S. military technology to China. Newsweek reported that he was convicted June 26 on 18 federal charges.
  • Meanwhile, NBC reported that federal prosecutors say that University of Texas professor Bo Mao attempted to steal U.S. technology by using his position as a professor to obtain access to protected circuitry and then handing it over to the Chinese telecommunications giant, Huawei.

The true tragedy is that so many Americans are blind to the fact that today’s colleges and universities pose a threat on several fronts to the well-being of our nation.

I feel that the government should go through ALL of our schools and weed out ALL teachers who teach socialism in any subject, and arrest those they find working for the CCP for any reason. Fire the rest of them, and put a label on them that they are not fit to teach in any schools. Then return the schools back into state control like the constitution says where it belongs.

When schools are found to have staff that have used their positions in the education system to violate laws, force a specific lean of politics, or push racist ideologies, they should lose all federal funding and any tax assistance.
Why should us tax payers be funding the fall of America’s freedoms and rights?
Why should U.S. citizens have to pay college tuitions when non U.S. students get a free ride?

It cannot be considered just a threat, action has to happen now! This commentary has it right, it is a reality and has been happening for over 40 years in our colleges and businesses. The Chinese learned from the Russians during the so-called ‘Cold War” they learned from the Japanese during WW II and are now “masters” at espionage and theft of our proprietary rights protected information and technology. It is a daily happening and our Nation is bleeding almost more than it is capable of recovering from.

President Trump cannot allow Sanctuary Cities, liberal college curriculum which indoctrinates rather than teaches and the anti-life Planned Parenthood organization to receive one more federal subsidy dollar, not one more and all tax exemptions must be revoked. Don’t threaten act, they have all gone far beyond any consideration or allowance of time to change their ways, they haven’t to this point and they will not unless these steps are taken and “NOW”!

The same action has to be implemented for all the anti-American Progressive Radical Far Left Democratic run/controlled states and cities as they are providing nothing for the good of their constituents nor the nation with those federal tax dollar subsidies they receive. Our tax dollars are precious to those that need and use them for the good of both and the more given to anarchists the less the patriotic receive. It has to stop, these entities have to be hit where it counts (in their proverbial pocket books) as that is all they understand.

AND, there can be no federal tax dollars allowed to be given to any of them upon their requests for reparations of the damages they did nothing to stop (in some cases actually prodded the disruptions on) and nothing to apprehend the perpetrators of the recent rioting, looting, property destruction and ensuing chaos from those illegal actions.

Money talks to them especially when denied to them, veiled threats mean nothing, the President has to act via Executive Order and “STOP” our federal tax dollars from aiding and abetting their spurious anti-American self-serving activities by all those so blatantly involved.

Review college curriculum, insure it is multi-faceted and not exclusively Far Left and Socialist in doctrine
Review college Professor’s allegiance, bias and what he allows to be discussed in his/her classroom
Congress Term served (no more federal political service allowed) We can take back our Congress
    Term Limits H 4 yr’s Senate 6 yr’s
Remove their autonomous control of benefits and payroll, place with them OPM like most other federal employees
    Supreme Court
SC Justice Seat 10 yr’s Lifetime appointments works for them and not us as citizens
    States and Cities
Government Officials who allowed destruction of national monuments be held economically accountable for their reparation/replacement
Make maximum effort to apprehend and prosecute (with positive results) all those that were involved in non-peaceful activities or lose any and all federal tax subsidies
Support your state, county and local city law enforcement officers and do not “defund” them or face the same takeaway consequences, Pittsburgh comes to mind.
AND, voters and constituents, VOTE them the …. out of office for all the great work and accomplishments for you they have not done nor delivered as promised.

I’m tired, you get the picture..

Mr. President, you have to take matters onto your hands (until such time as we, as voters and concerned citizens, take back our Congress) and by “Executive Order” stop all federal tax dollar subsidies to these offenders of our freedoms and expectations of a functioning, rule of law abiding Nation. Hurt all these self-serving miscreants where it hurts, their federal tax dollar pocket books, empty them as they are misusing our tax dollars for their ill-gotten gains at the state and city levels.

Pittsburgh, Chicago, New York City, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and all the others on the list now controlled by Radical Far Left Socialist Democrats which means the buck also stops at the state level, you know who they are Mr. President, empty their federal tax subsidy dollar pocket books and please do it “NOW”.

It’s about time — they have already ruined one generation of young people with their Communist Democratic rhetoric which taught them that America is bad. Total lie!!!!! Next look into the high schools who are likewise indoctrinating our young people. It may even go down all the way to Kindergarten. The teachers need to be addressed for influencing all of our young on political lines. They are hired to teach Math, English, Proper and true History, etc. If they do not want to teach what they are paid to teach get rid of them. We do not need their biased ideas being pressed on our innocent children. That goes to sex, gender, etc. which have nothing to do with the 3 R’s.

All teachers teaching socialism should be removed from all schools. Socialism / Communism should not be taught in our schools unless they teach capitalism also. But most teachers were taught by social leaning proffesors.

The Federal Department of Education has and is pushing Common Core teaching methods over conventional teaching methods!! This is what happened in Germany to indoctrinate the young into the Third Reich Agenda !!! This is going to happen in America for the Far Left Radical Socialism Agenda !!! We Must regain the true meaning of education over politics !!!! Our colleges and universities are becoming breading grounds for the New Radicalized Far Left Socialist Agenda over Educating the our young to become proficient in a field of study for their future !!!!

This brings about a quandary. As soon as any measures are taken there will be screams of Freedom of Speech. Undoubtedly leading to court cases, perhaps or likely SCOTUS. With the propensity to legislate from the court as opposed to upholding the constitutional requirements. If it should go to legitimizing the practice we would see a firestorm of the socialist training. We are very weak in our introduction of the constitution and its meanings in first and secondary school which lays the groundwork for subverting or ignoring it in our universities. I could not believe I was subjected to strong incentives to embrace a socialist ideal a decade or so back when I took some computer courses. A required class included the ethics involved in areas such as database which seemed reasonable until we were bombarded with the idea there was something wrong with our system. We were required to sit through a video lecture on how we were neglecting the rest of the world and how we should work harder to bring them to our standard even at the expense of our own. My comment that upon completing our courses we would compete with people who used our technology learned in our universities to have many people in their own country doing the same work for our companies at a tenth the wage. This of course meant that the living we expected would result from our training would be in jeopardy. There were many who objected to the implication we should not be exporting such knowledge to our disadvantage. That I made it clear that the net result could only the drawing down of our standard was was totally acceptable to the majority of students 15 or twenty years younger.

I mention the class I took because for the number who objected to my view implies they had already been bent to the socialist way of thought. As groups in classes and many different schools. When you hear people talking and referring to the constitution it is easy to tell they have no idea except what has been touted by talking heads in very recent times. The most telling lack of understanding is difference in the times of the National Anthem or Constitution. The vocabulary and manner of expression in particular in prose which makes it easy to give it different meaning now. We have a duty to make certain not sure certain that the principles of this country are clearly understood well before secondary school or we are doomed to be one more of the ‘shithole’ countries that has many conflicts between groups in the population and a government that sucks off of them and wallows in corruption.

Got side tracked earlier by interruptions. The difference between Freedom of Speech and a university classroom is the traditional instruction content. Information is presented in the sciences as this is what we know of how this works, this is the way this is done and the considerations required which will be different for mechanical engineering and say chemistry. In the humanities philosophy and such we detail something that occurred the different viewpoints and interpretations that went into it. Hoping to gain an insight to how peoples in a society interact and how the society is formed and maintained. It requires that truthful and factual comparisons be employed not just one point of view, not mostly one point of view and what the real outcomes are. Again no biasing to the ideal that may have been intended but the real results. How ideal societies can be destroyed because idealism can not be just in the mind of the ‘creator’ it must be a true internal commitment of every individual and that the individual is fully aware of all of the particulars of that society. That even applies to idealistic ones such as our own constitutional society.
The paid instructor is expected to perform those functions as they have been traditionally been performed. I doubt there is any contractual mention along those lines just an expectation of the traditional methods. It seems the expectation stops pretty completely once we get to the boundaries of the university and even largely those of the lower schools. If there is one or more guiding organization to the instructional process we must conclude that they are the most likely source of the perversion of the traditional education processes. Any takers on naming them? Think about this, you must start the conversion with the children. I cannot recall where that line comes from only that it or a variation has been part of the guide lines for subverting many societies. Makes sense, if you feed the system from the bottom up it does not matter so much what the older people think as you will eventually out number them. When you feel you have sufficient number of young converts you are then in position to force your change. In China they would start rounding up for the reeducation camps. Here we have to find a different way and do it very soon. How do we present the truth, inherent problems and falsities to a large part of the population when they have been rather strongly conditioned that anything you say/present is a lie? To say I am worried is an understatement to rank with some of histories great ones.
